Just got my blood test results and seems that my Thyroid antibodies are way above normal, in addition to having a nodule in my swollen thyroid gland area. :(

Went to see my Doctor, and it's official, it's Hypo.

This is why Propecia wasn't effective.

I hear that one of the main Sides of levothyroxine is hair loss!?

And believe me, my hair wont be able to withstand more loss.

Now what do I do? :(

I think there is a lot of debate on hypo and hairloss. I guess the short answer is that in theory when you thyroid is normal then you hair will do better. Some people favor "natural" thyroid replacement. I believe this is done with Armour thyroid medication. I guess you have to wait and see what your doctor says. There are a lot of books websites about hypo/hyper throid. I remeber one of the authors was Ken Blanchard. Not sure of the spelling? Can't remeber the title. My hairloss is not thyroid related but I did test positive for thyroid antibodies. Let us know how you do. Wish I had more helpful info.
