hey guys...
I finally decided to get organized. lolz. As a lot of members here have their own stories, i will have mine as well!

I started losing hair at the age of 18. I was in denial for the first 2 years as it was not visible. then in the 3rd year, i was teased so badly in class [don't wanna rake up my past] and i finally decided that i have start doing something about it. I was quite emotional back then and had turned down a lot of friends' invitations to parties.

the good thing was i found this forum and i was quite surprised that i was not the only one who suffered from male pattern baldness at such a young age. After hours of reading posts in this forum and getting replies from the members here, i finally decided to take on the Big3.

Well, here's my progress

Any comments and advice will be greatly appreciated...

your latest 2 pics look miles better.I am assuming that you shed a lot in july because it seems worse than in april but then you seem to have regrown it back and probably a bit more.
I am always a bit sceptical about pics because everytime i look at myself in the mirror my hair changes so it can be deceiving.

i noticed your avatar says that you are a norwood 4,i am assuming that the front is receded a lot then

hahaha...its not really. i was just confused. as my male pattern baldness pattern did not match any of the norwood...so i just picked a random norwood...

my front is receding though...but its not what it is as shown in my avatar :wink:

Where applying the minoxidil?

Whats up? Looks good! It would be great if you could give me a little more detail? For example:
1-Where do you apply the minoxidil? Are you applying it in the frontal region( at the hairline and behind it?)?
2-When did you start to shed or notice anything different?
3-And finnally, what are your thoughts on how everything is going? Thanks bro.

I agree, he literally went from a 60% coverage to almost transparent. It was such a comeback in August though.

Judging from the pics, I will say your hair now is above your baseline.

For timallen45:
1. I applied minoxidil at the area which is affected by male pattern baldness. That is, almost the whole head: hairline, vertex...

2. I've been shedding even before i started the regimen. so I don't really notice a big shed. though the pics in july give me creeps.

3. my thoughts? lolz. well, my hair definitely improved! hair loss when applying minoxidil has decreased. So, i guess if you experience shed just ride it out.

A little update.

Shedding lesser hair now when applying minoxidil. I tend to shed more if i comb my hair (up to 20 hair). I'm still shedding though...

Side effect from finasteride seems no longer there. Libido back to normal. no side effects or whatsoever.

I believe my hair is slowly filling in. As my hair is about 3 inch long, I saw a lot of hair at the length of about an inch at my vertex. :mrgreen:

yep. up till now. there is no side. but probably it is still to early to say that.

I read someone's post who experience the sides again at the 7th mth. hopefully it won't hit me again. lol.

its really filling in. though its still kinda thin at the vertex. Since you re now only into the fourth month, you have more to come dude...

we will see how it goes at the sixth month...keep the monthly update
