I don't understand why he doesn't just get treatment.

He is not working a real job. He is an official celebrity, his entire profession is 100% about image. He should pay for a hair transplant, if he doesn't know about transplants surely one of the hundreds of people on his public relations staff know about transplants.

If not hair transplants, then maybe finasteride six or seven years ago, or whenever it would have worked well.

haha. To be fair though, he is basically the most extreme example of how balding can affect your looks. His facial aesthetics were given a lot of favours with hair. His face has also aged (poorly) as he got older. And he rocks the horse shoe grown out. This is pretty much worse case scenario for looks.

I think he'd get crucified in the daily mail and other rags if he got a hair transplant. the prince isn't supposed to care about his personal vanity.
Plus I wonder if any of his personal staff would let him get a hair transplant? the opinion of him would go down rather than up even if he had the best results imaginable due to the stigma of a hair transplant here in the UK.
hair transplant's are great for anonymous nobodies like me as nobody knows you've done it - but the prince, everyone would know.

Hairloss is a huge turnoff for women that women frequently lose all sexual attraction for their husband once he goes bald. There are strange hypocrisies about cosmetic surgery.

Nobody would bother you if your parents paid for you to get dental braces when you were 14.
