Hello, started reading this site 4 years ago when I was 26. Was thinning a bit. Started with revivogen, what a waste and destroyed my pillows. Then hit fake propecia, didn't trust hit. Then at 27 I went with the big 3. Helped, BUT.....At 28.5 was sick of rogaine, just sucked putting it on and did not believe in it. The past last year and 1/2 I've been on just PROSCAR, get it from my Dr for about $3 a month. It's great, I totally trust it and it's only one pill a day. My advise, take a chance and only take Proscar, don't worry about Rogaine or that fancy shampoo. Think about it, proscar works, it's something you can easily take for cheap money for the next 8 years. It's proven to work. Don't get caught up in the other stuff. Rogaine is all talk, yeah it might work but it's so hard to keep on it for ever...a pill is not. Best of luck, proscar has worked wonders for me thus far.

That's a sack of crap. Brushing your teeth takes a minute or two and after rinsing there are no problems.
minoxidil on the other hand cost far more then toothpaste, is embarrassing to have to carry around on trips or have around your bedroom, takes time to dry, can make your hair style horribly in the morning, can leave flakes in your hair, can irritate the scalp and clearly retains water in many people. Also, if you skip brushing your teeth for a few weeks your teeth don't fall out.
Look I use minoxidil and think it works, I just belive you should be honest about the stuff.
I also agree that if you have caught your hairloss early then just start with finasteride and evaluate your results before adding minoxidil.

I found it far too much hassle. I can't be arsed to keep a can at my girlfriend's place and at mine. I can't be doing with it when I'm late up for work or when I stumble in from a night out.

No my friend. Try minoxidil foam, its easier than brushing your teeth and takes less time. No irritation and disappears on your head in about a minute. And yes, I have been on minoxidil for over 3 years and have gone for long periods (2 weeks at a time and maybe 1x a day for several months) and my hair didn't fall out.
