I am currently on 1.25 finasteride daily, been so for about 3.5 months now. Im looking for a shampoo to compliment the finasteride or lessen further hairloss. I hear Nizoral is good but im not sure how to get this. Any suggestions?

Nizoral is good, I added it to my treament a few months ago and its very beneficial it helps fight inflamation and itching associated with male pattern baldness. Aditionally,it contains ketozale which expands the hair follicle by up to 7% which can ad an appearance of thickness, you can buy 1% nizoral at most retail stores such as walmart.
I see that its a dandruff shampoo, does it do anything else but cure dandruff?

Yes it does more than cure dandruff, it helps fight inflamtion associated with male pattern baldness, You should definatly use it with finasteride, when the fda conducted clinical trials for finasteride all of there participants used nizoral in conjunction with finasteride, so the posative results from the trials were effected by nizoral/finasteride combo, thats why most people use it with finasteride, plus you only have to use it twice a week.
What kind of shampoo do you recommend for the rest of the week? Also, what conditioner do you use?

definitely start using Nizoral (one of the "big three", along w/ minoxidil and finasteride). you can buy the 1% version in most stores, but the 2% is technically available through prescription only. you can get around that by buying on eBay, etc. the people who know a lot more than me on here seem to think that 2% is a much better option than 1% (although 1% is certainly much better than not using at all). use 2-3x per week.

there are other "hairloss" shampoos such as NANO (from dr. proctor, type it in google and you'll find it) or Revita or anything with Copper Peptides. efficacy of all these are debatable, but they are an option.

if you're looking for a thickening/concealing shampoo, i've found Jason's Thin to Thick to be the best option (though some people like Aveda Pure Abundance or others). you can get JTT in certain stores (often in organic/health stores like Whole Foods, and randomly in certain pharmacies like Walgreens, but that seems like more of a crap shoot...or of course you can order it online). JTT offers a conditioner too. American Crew makes a hair thinning shampoo/conditioner that i used to use that i really liked the way it felt/smelled, but it's pricey and didn't do anything for my hair.

there are also a million options for scalp health shampoos/conditioners/oils such as Aloe, Tea Tree, Emu. do a search on here to learn more

What shampoo would you recommend for the rest of the week, when im not using a hairloss shampoo? Also, can the wrong condition affect the results of a hairloss shampoo?

No they didn't. The finasteride trial participants used T-Gel shampoo, not Nizoral.

Where did you hear that information bryan? I have read numerous places that the shampoo was nizoral.

Those numerous places you read that were all wrong, because they definitely used T-Gel during the trial. Here's a direct quote from the Merck Phase III trial for Propecia ("Finasteride in the Treatment of Men with Androgenetic Alopecia", Kaufman et al, J Amer Acad Derm Vol. 39 No. 4, 1998): "...Patients received a study shampoo (Neutrogena T/Gel) for standardization of shampoo used and for prophylaxis of seborrheic dermatitis, which might affect scalp growth. Patients were then randomly assigned to treatment with either finasteride 1 mg/d or placebo for 1 year."

If Nizoral is only meant to be used 2-3 times per week, what is recommended for the other days? Also, what is the best conditioner to follow Nizoral?
