Losing Hair At Crown But Nowhere Else?

I first noticed that my scalp looked like it was thinning, to be honest it wasn't that bad and I posted on here and everybody told me it looked fine. Still, I decided to use Nizoral. After using Nizoral I've noticed that whilst applying it and rubbing my hands through my hair I have about 20-30 strands on my head, I generally have thick hair but this isn't normal at all. So I took another photo of my crown and it looks like it's got a lot worse. I also have pretty bad dandruff at my scalp, don't know if that's related.

Everywhere else is fine, I have thick hair. Is there any other medical conditions that can cause hair loss at the crown since neither my maternal granddad or my dad have male pattern baldness, infact the former had a full set of hair forever. If so, I guess I'll just get on the big three soon enough. It's currently not noticeable to anyone but me but it's also obvious that it's thinning -

Should I get on the big 3? I'm only 19 so I'm worried about the side effects but at the same time I'm not willing to lose my hair. I won't be able to do anything about it for at least a month and a half, so I'm hoping I can hold out until then but it seems like it's accelerating pretty fast.

For the record I don't have hair loss anywhere else, my temples are hardly receded and I'd say I'm still a NW1.

He's joking.
It's not going to fall out in two months.
Then use minoxidil and monitor.
When you are older, if needed, then use Finasteride.

Don’t use minoxidil, you don’t need that as I’m not even sure you’re thinning. Dandruff can lead to hairfall and that could be a reason. Try using dandruff shampoo then get a professional opinion before taking any drugs that require a life long commitment.

some people have a real fear for minoxidil and i'm sure they all have their reasons. rogaine or any topical solutions that contain minoxidil have been the most popular hair loss treatment for a long time.

minoxidil basically grows you a chemical wig. it decreases the amount of hair you lose and promotes regrowth. i'll say start there and see.
but once you stop using it, it all goes away.

to me, your hair looks fine. maybe you can try and take a pic of your hair when it's wet.
document it every month and have someone else judge it for you.

you have lots of time to monitor before it gets noticeable AT ALL. you have years.
