I just wanna start by saying I'm pretty sure my hairline had always been receding in the first place, however it was a very slow process and hadn't changed for about a year, here is what my hair looked like two months ago:

Now it's receded quite a bit further, but it's not really the front recession I'm worried about cause that's pretty normal, it's that I'm losing hair everywhere else too. At that stage I didn't notice hair loss in the shower either. Suddenly however this past month I've noticed excessive hair loss. I wash my hair about every 3 days and in that shower time I probably lose around 100 - 150 hairs, which I know is most definitely not normal. However I lose this hair everywhere, on the back, the sides and the top. It's most noticeable on the sides as my hair is already quite short on the sides.
At the same time, however, I'm also having appointments at the doctor for possible hyperthyroidism (which was originally unrelated to my hair loss, I had a lot of the symptoms listed, but not hair loss at the time), and have had a blood test for which I'm yet to get the results. I've noticed a possible symptom is hair loss, so could this be explaining my drastic hair loss which has come out of nowhere?
I'm just not sure whether it's normal for male pattern baldness to affect hair loss everywhere, including the back/sides, and whether it can be so sudden? It literally came out of nowhere and I've been losing hair ever since. It's not really noticeable to anyone else and everyone has told me that I'm fine but I can tell I'm definitely losing hair, it's noticeable for me and it's definitely not normal to lose that much hair in the shower, regardless of the 100 a day fact.
Anyone give me any input?
