Hello everyone. I'm 27. Trying to figure out if i have a mature hairline or it's receding. As you can see my right side is more severe than the left. Also i see a little bald spot on back of my head. Currently my hair have good density and i can hide it very well. If i can keep what i have i will be happy. Should i jump on meds or it's too early? Thanks everyone.

Your hair looks thick to me. I would not stress it. If you are balding its clearly not aggressive so you have time. Just keep taking pictures and compare them in a month or so. Or you can go to a dermatologist and they can find out if you are balding.

you are receding this is the first stage you can tell by the small hairs on the hairline
just use minoxidil on those little hairs and dermaroller all over the head

Yeah maybe i should go visit dermatologist just to make sure. Do they take exams? How do they know if you are balding or not...

Oh damn it. What about those bald spots on side of the head. Anyway to restore those?

Yeah they check your hair with a microscope I think. This way they can tell if the hair is undergoing miniaturization (when the hair gets weaker and smaller). This indicates male pattern baldness.

I actually don't think that you're vertex is experiencing any male pattern baldness, rather your hairline. Minoxidil is good if you feel like you'll be consistent with it. Stopping it = won't even look like you ever use it. I'd recommend minoxidil, derma and keto, if you keep thinning after the initial shed of minoxidil (which is about 3 months) wait for another 6-12 before you reaccess.

OR, just hop on all three meds.

If you're lazy with minoxidil pop a pill everyday with finasteride, best case scenario it'll maintain and might even regrow a bit.

It's not too early. You are heading for a NW3. I started on meds when I had less loss than you.

Thank you. I have a few questions.

1. How bad is the shed? Will people notice it?
2. What size Derma should i get?
3. What is Keto?

Finasteride also sounds more convenient but will it give better results...

1.If the medication works: Shed on minoxidil usually lasts for the first 2-3 weeks. Starts above baseline after.
2. I got 1.5 mm that I use 2x/week. Some people might argue that it is too harsh for your skin though.
3. Keto is short for Ketoconazole, which is a synthetic imidazole antifungal drug used primarily to treat fungal infections. It especially well if you have some sort of inflammation or scalp that itches. Mine did and it hasn't been itching ever since I started applying it on my hair. I go for 3-4x week. It is told that 20 mg/g Ketoconazole is as effective as 2% Minoxidil.

Also forgot to include the fact that Minoxidil does NOT stop the balding process for it is only a growth stimulant. Finasteride is the main ingredient you should have in order to keep your hair. Your gains with minoxidil will decrease over time because DHT is suppressed too fast if you're not on any DHT-inhibitor.

2. is this one good? https://www.ebay.com/itm/540-Micron...hash=item283628dd18:m:mlBNkyZ7ZsrFIz9Q0ob6fEw

3. I started using about 2 months ago Nizoral shampoo. I think it has like 1% of Ketoconazole. I think you can get 2% with prescription.

So as i understand it's better for me to start on minoxidil and if i get some hair back than jump on Finasteride to maintain it? Or minoxidil pretty much has to be taken forever?

Yes that one seems fine. This is the one I bought. https://www.ebay.com/itm/0-25-2-5mm...hash=item28220bd73b:m:mQCfkitH5jlF4EOLjNzqSLg

You cna buy 2% keto at HQHAIR, got mine for like 20 dollars. One bottle has lasted me for about 4 months so far. Still got like 20% left.

Minoxidil has to be taken forever, just like finasteride. If you stop either, you'll lose your gains.

Yeah the reason i didn't start earlier is because i have good thick hair and can hide it very well with hair spray. With what meds do you think i should start?
Finasteride first then minoxidil. It's not good to start both at the same time then you don't know which is working better or worse. Minoxidil is only a growth stimulant and does not interfere with DHT which you need to slow down male pattern baldness. Minoxidil is best for those can't take finasteride due to age or other medical conditions.

At what age do you think finasteride is appropriate?

I
@Outsider626 definitely get on finasteride. I have a bit more hair than you, on treatments and I'm still losing my f*****g hair. Do anything you can to stop this, and do it now. You will regret leaving it too late.
