Minoxidil Application

I find Minoxidil to be difficult to apply because:

1) It won't work where you have no hair left

2) Where you do have hair left, you have to move the hair out of the way so you can apply the Rogaine

In other words, you have to find the sweet spot where you have enough hair for growth stimulation, but not too much hair or you'll be wasting the drug (and applying too much can lead to side effects). To apply the drug, you have to clear a space on your skull, meaning:

3) you will have to purposely brush hair in such a manner as to make you look more bald so that the drug can reach the intended area

4) Since this likely to be in the crown area, it will be difficult for you to see whether you have reached the intended area, and

5) It will be difficult to move your hair back in place after you have applied Rogaine

Finally, I have thinning throughout my hair. If I were to apply it where it was needed, I would use up a can in a week and spend about 10 minutes in the bathroom in the morning and night.

For all these reasons, I am resisting going back on Minoxidil. I think I'd rather wait a bit and get a hair transplant.

Does anyone find it easier to apply, or have some tricks to making it a more convenient process?

Use a dropper and it is easy. Most droppers got a ml mark on it too so you see how much you used. I just lure the dropper under my hair, gently press and then lure my hand just pushing the hairs up with my nails and gently rub a cm or 2 in every direction on the scalp. Repeat a few places so i feel i got 80 - 100% coverage and the skin make sure it gets 100%. Toweldry hair and not scalp to get the few drops who missed scalp and 45 min later you got to look hard to see that i put something on my scalp. My hair is 1ish cm long

It do work on areas where you cant see any hairs, i had an completely hair free zone at my hairline and now it got some small ones
