Hey guys so i have just started to use minoxidil for my hairline, i am using qgain 5% once a day in the evening for about a week now and i have been having some minor side effects, everyday since i have been using it i have been noticing that my mind has become a bit foggy and i have been having slight headaches. This is not major side effects i know and i can deal with it, i was just wondering if anyone else had been experiencing this and if the sides go away?

It doesn't say anything about Minoxidil causing possible mind fog as a side effect from the manufacturers of the treatment. Could it be possible that you're experience from sort of faintness/dizziness from the medication? I myself use 5% Minoxidil twice daily and haven't had any side effects from it.

When I switched to the 2% I would feel dizziness sometimes, it happened a few minutes after applying the liquid to the scalp. It never happened with the Kirkland 5% which was a lot greasier and never dried. It's possible that it's the alcohol creating that effect.

The liquid irritated my scalp and caused reddness and scaling. The foam is wonderful and easier to apply, no side effects whatsoever.

I've been using topical Minoxidil lotion 5% for 5 years. From my experience it decreased my libido & caused erection problem. I've done some experiment about its side effect. I found out that if I stop using minoxidil, in 3 months, my libido & erection back to normal. But when I start to using minoxidil again, in just 1 month the libido & erection problem arise again.
To make sure that minoxidil is the culprit, i repeat the experiment cycle during my 5 years usage. And the result is always the same

I have question: how technically minoxidil cause such problem (lowering libido & erection problem) ?
