Hello. I have been using minoxidil for a good 5 months, i have seen improvement, my temples grew back a little bit, and i saw a definite decrease in the hairloss rate. After those 5 months i started taking proscar split into fourths (1,25mg), and took it along with minoxidil for another 5 months now. Since ive started using finasteride it seems that minoxidil has stopped working, i had some sheds around 1-2 moths after i started finasteride, i thought it was a good sight of it working, but the increased shedding never stopped. it seems now that im slowly losing my temples again, the hair is all around thinner than it used to be when i started finasteride. Has anyone had any similar experiences, or heard about such a strange occurrence?

It could very well be just a finasteride shed. I am not on finasteride yet but I have read about many people going through a bad shed on finasteride that lasts a long time. I would think its just the finasteride doing its job and the shed from finasteride may be stronger than what minoxidil can hold. I know a lot of people start on finasteride first..give it 6 months-a year and then add minoxidil later to thicken up what has already grown from finasteride now that the shedding is over

well, im definitely staying on finasteride for atleast a year. but i am sceptical that its a minoxidil shed, because its nothing like i had when i started using only minoxidil, back then i did have a shed but after around 2 months ive started seeing some temple regrowth and a decrease in shedding. But it is most probably a finasteride shed, there is no other explanation, and besides, it started right after ive started finasteride.
By the way ive switched from regaine to kirkland, after ive started finasteride, adn ive olso used the spectral uhp stuff for some time, now im back on kirkland
