Big *** tornado hit america i heard some kids were either badly injured or died...and you are here worry about what people think about your hair and others you need to start opening your eyes and start realising this **** is NOTHING to worry about.

Yeah so? No seriously, it's horrible, but you can tell us about the poor kids starving in Africa, it won't make us feel better. Maybe we should, but if thinking about natural cataclysm would save people from depression and desperation, we would know about it. I'm gonna spend nearly 10000€ in hair transplants, do you have anything to say about that, come on, make me feel guilty.

I thought i was on your ignore list? guess you missed me or you just said it for the hell of it...anywayyy moving along im just saying could be alot worse obviously me saying that is not going to "cure" you but make you realise this worry is not as bad as we all think...and im not going to make you guilty its your money just do it for the right reasons.

Danny, the tornado your talking about hit my city. It's insane here, looks like a warzone. It really put things in perspective for me since many people I know have people missing and stuff. The worst part of it is that the majority of those dead are kids that were trapped in their school, just makes me forget about any petty thing that bothered me before. Living in Oklahoma City, we've been through a lot, with the bombing and everything, and this is one of the worst disasters I've ever seen. Im probably going to join some relief efforts today and tomorrow, there's just so many demolished places to search through.

Anyway, good to see other people taking notice. It's much appreciated. If you're not the praying type, at least keep us in your thoughts. It's just surreal that this has happened where I live.

I saw it on the news there was this old woman talking about it her house was gone nothing left at all just rubble then the rubble started to move and it was her dog she was so happy to see her dog she said her prays were answered...such a sad scene...and thats what i was trying to get at there was peoples houses torn apart people even kids injured or killed and here we are moaning about a few hairs...it just makes you think we are lucky to be alive we should enjoy while it lasts not moan over petty things we can still do the things we love hair or not those poor souls who died cant...we should be counting our blessing not our hair falling out.

I completely agree, I felt the same way when they started talking about the trapped kids yesterday. I can deal with adults dying but when it happens to kids...I just can't fathom it. Basically, they were pulling out a lot of bodies from the rubble of the schools and apparently the basement flooded and drowned quite a few. Im going to be a teacher next year and that part of the city was one of my potential job sites. It's just crazy man.

The good news is that the number of dead was reported wrong so it's not as high as they thought. I am the praying type (I mean, I do live in the Bible belt) and basically Im just seeing tons of good from people everywhere. Really restores one's faith in humanity. To all of you terribly depressed over your hair, I think the best cure is to concentrate on other people more. The more I do that, the less I care about my looks. 8 billion people on the planet, why should I take it so hard that aging chose me for a natural thing that happens to men?

Thom, although I have never met you, I was honestly worried about your safety as I remember you lived in Oklahoma City. I am glad you are fine. I know what its like to be a victim of devastation as I experienced Hurricane Andrew back in 1992 and trust me, I thought I was going to die that night. That was the scariest night of my life. Watching the destruction of a house you are hoping would protect you by a Category 5 hurricane was the most horrifying experience I have ever witnessed. Recovering from Andrew taught me a lot. My city looked like a war zone too and living those days of no air condition, no electricity, no places to eat for miles taught me humility and how I would never wish this upon anyone and yet people live under these conditions in other countries all year round. I know exactly what those people are going thru but the good news is some day they will rebuild and learn just how precious life really is and just how fortunate we are to have air condition, shelter, food and electricity when it all can be take away from you in a matter of hours or minutes. That event changed me forever. I did suffer some medical problems during that horrific time but I recovered and we did rebuild. Its very hard for me to watch devastation on TV as it just reminds me of my past experience with a similar event. My heart goes out for those people in your city. Their lives will now be changed forever.

Thank you for riding the MPBTRAUMACOASTER! Please exit to your right and enjoy the rest of your wonderful life of looking normal and the social acceptance that comes with it. Now that hair loss is not a problem for you (never really was for you as I would kill for your worst day) I suspect you will be leaving the forums to enjoy all your hair and reap the benefits that the active follicles on the top of your head grant you.

don't want to get on my high horse, but both of you have it better than the people who lost their homes in the tornadoes, so why squabble about who has it worst?

on behalf of common sense im compelled to tell you shouldn't wear hats if your hair looks ok at the moment. walk around hat-free enjoy your hair, don't waste away these precious moments cuz there will be plenty time for hats when you're older and bald.

do you still buzz your hair? maybe you should grow it out if it's good enough.

spread your wings and fly high little baldie.

They'll have to live near something like that to get your point. There's that old saying, " I used to complain because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet."

I mean, I live in OKC and that point still hasn't hit home with me. Im sitting here enjoying my morning coffee and there are parents burying their kids not 20 miles away. Sometimes it takes experience to make us realize how superficial we can be. So, in part I don't blame the ignorance you see on here. Most of us are just too privileged to know the difference.

Thank you for your concern House, it is honestly refreshing to see honest, good natured people such as yourself out there. I still haven't experienced anything like the horror you describe but I can imagine it completely alters your reality. To all of the sudden wake up in a third world country makes you consider things differently I would assume.

Like I said though, seeing good natured people like you and Danny, as well as other friends I have made here, makes me see that humanity is not lost. Reading about the terror attacks in London today, or the people looting in the tornado disaster area makes you forget that sometimes.

All of that is moot given the fact that you have recovered from your hair loss nightmare, at least physically but I imagine once you acclimate back into societies accepting arms your spirit and mental state will recover as well.... and then you will be a complete person again. However traumatizing your experience in high school was, you were NEVER at any one point in time slick bald NW5 and it's over for you now while I continue to live this nightmare of a compromised life for almost fifteen ****ing years with no hope for parole, so yes like Slipy said fly free and enjoy your normality Exodus. I am beyond ****ing jealous I admit because I am stewing here in death row watching you waltz out the front gate of the prison through my cell bars. Goodbye ****er.

Oh and another thing.... I won't be guilt tripped into dismissing/conceeding my own feelings about my hair loss because bad things happen in the world. That is a given. If we were to follow that line of logic then the amputee who lost his foot due to diabetes has no room to feel grief for his loss because somewhere out there is someone who lost his whole leg who has no right to complain because somewhere out there is someone with no legs who has no right to be upset because somewhere out there is a parapalegic and so on and so fourth. This is a ****ing hair loss forum not Greenpeace you hippies so I'm am going to talk about hair loss and not be ashamed in doing so.
