My new haircut looks great

Basically my barber buzzed it down to what looks like half an inch on the sides and back, and then he left the top and front at about an inch and a half. You can see the tapering/fade/whatever you call it in the second pic. He parted it on the side and it looks like a full NW1. I've even tried to spike it to expose some scalp to see if it's possible, and the hair's too short to do it. Diffusers might want to consider a cut like this. It really only works if you have an intact hairline like we do. If you're like NW3+ it will just look stupid

I think I'm going to keep this cut from now on. It might look a bit too old for a 22 year old but what do you guys think? it should serve me well though in my 30s and 40s in the professional world.

I say mess it up, chicks like that. Throw a little gel in it too. Or what I use: sea kelp bioferment with a little water.

My hair was 3 inches befoer cutting and i could see way more scalp than i wanted to. the hair just was tangly and shitty. gel makes my hair stick together since i'm diffuse. maybe ill mess it a bit but its gonna stay dry. water is the enemy of the diffuser. with dry hair, i can appear to people that i have 0 hair loss.

Jayman, we're quite similiar. Im about to get the same haircut in 2 hours, though my top is shorter since im regrowing it from shaving my head last month.

Im gonna go for this look when the top grows out though i dont have nice thick straight hair like that:

i have wavy hair, so my sides and especially my sideburns are a huge problem. People with straight hair can keep their hair as thick on the lower sides and sideburns as the top...but not me, mine looks like a hasidic jew it gets all curly and nasty if i dont keep it shaved down

hahaha its like lookin in a mirror. Gotta keep that tamed...I think the problem is our sideburns especially have the texture of beard hair. People with straight hair ,ive noticed their sides and sideburns seem to flow from the top of their head, their indistinguishable. My sideburns dont resemble the hair on my head really.

now all i need to do is get fue to stengthen the side of my hairline, and pray that my vertex doesnt thin anymore :freaked:

It looks great hair-loss wise, I wouldn't call you balding at all!

But you should spike it up I think.


Short on the back and sides and long on top is the way to go, blonde highlights are amazing for dark haired guys to hide thinning too
