My Situation Months Later, And Now Been On finasteride Two Months.

I have now been on finasteride (costco generic, 1mg per day) for two months, and using nizoral once a week.

This is a diagram of my situation from my observation:

Here are some of my latest pictures:

HAIR WET, WITH IT COMBED BACK. (cannot really tell which are miniturized):

LEFT TEMPLE, WET HAIR AGAIN PULLED BACK, cannot really tell minitruized hairs:

RIGHT TEMPLE, WET HAIR AGAIN same as before

Prepare for uglyness, look at how terrible it is when wet and hair is down!!

pulling on some minitruized hairs. about an inch deep into scalp is minitruized hairs, the further away they get from the top of the head and the center of the area between the temples, the shorter the hairs get.

(So hairs at the edge of hairline are very very small, and those near the healthy hairs are around two inches long)

Last picture, I am holding up healthy hairs, but combing down hairline hairs that are miniaturized. (I did not get them all, because when my hair is oily from not taking shower, it looks much less are healthy than that... I think shampoo is giving false impression there or something.

I am hoping finasteride will save those minitruized hairs. because if i lose them, then I am a norwood 3 for sure.

If I can save them, that is my last chance to have any acceptable hair. IF they can start growing again, I will have such happiness in my life again. This has caused all happiness and motivation to leave my life. I hope so much it can start growing again!

I am in a terror and panic when I look in mirrors. I no longer go outside without a hat. I am afraid to see friends anymore. When I take my hat off it is a horror!! A year ago when I took my hat off my hair was so thick I felt very attractive. Now I feel like a loser. I completetly understand that guys post who considered suicide.

It all happened while o was in extreme stress and depression at work where my eye was even twitching without my input. I thought taking time off would help, and although my stress left, my hair did not return or thicken.

At the same time my twin brother has same hairline except perhaps with less miniaturization, and less recession slightly. Probably a lot less miniaturization. His hair is short though so hard to tell but I see no miniaturization on his hairline.

I waited months hoping hair would grow back that this was stress related but it's only getting worse that's why I'm on finasteride for two months now.

I read to not start both at once because if finasteride alone is enough then I won't need to take minoxidil.

That is, if I am satisfied with finasteride and it thickening my hair (people sometimes claim finasteride thickens their hair somewhat) them don't need to bother with putting liquid in my hair twice a day (huge hassle) and also minoxidil is only intended for crown. Also I have three cats and I would be sad to never be able to face hug them again!m

Also there is widespread claims that minoxidil causes people to have bags under eyes, a older face. Which then defeats the point !

I don't need a miracle of growing in temples, I just need all my miniturized hairs to grow to around at least 4 inches.

So I hope no more recession, and strengthening my existing hairs to allow anything damaged to grow somewhat longer at least.

Then all my problems are solved.

Finasteride won't grow your miniaturized hair to 4 inches, you may get some slight thickening but that is about it.

well I know I am heading towards norwood 3 already because of the minitruized hairs, if they all died, I would be smack dab into norwood 3

but I am not sure what you mean by zigzag line, but if you mean how there is a line down my entire head, I think that is because I part my hair that way without ever changing it (unless I take a picture for showing hair, but even then, it is a struggle to get that hair to stop parting down the middle)

If I comb it forward it still likes to part to the sides

but maybe you have a case, and there is balding down that whole line... I do not know.

When I look at my twin brother it is kinda funny, because he doesn't seem to have any of my problems, he is in norwood 2 area but he doesnt seem to be going past that at all. hair looks healthy on top. but he has shorter hair

I would go to a doctor to find out really what is going on with my hair, but I can't find a competent one, nor can I find a way to make an appointment anyway

People have said the same thing about Finasteride destroying their hairline. For me Finasteride is way more dangerous than Minoxidil and you will never get me using it.

I just don't get it, why do I have over a inch of my hairline miniturized?

why is finasteride making it worse?

I rub my head, and a million smaller hairs fall out. none of the normal foot long hairs fall out

i only get thinner and thinner

it doesn't make any sense, wouldnt finasteride prevent this from happening? how can finasteride possibly cause this



why does this have to happen the one year in my life where i try to break out of my shell, to try to make friends and to have a little fun in my life, now im back where i started but worse. my social problems that used to be all in my mental head, are replaced with physical ones on my physical one. I can't just ignore that like the mental issues

You're shedding, its normal and is gonna slow down and eventually maintain if not regrow very slightly.

At least that's what I tell myself... still shedding like a mfker after 3 months back on
