Some dude approached me in the gym lockerroom when he saw me messing with the crown of my scalp. He asked if I was losing my hair (which I technically am not since I started using dutasteride, I'm a diffuse thinner, 25 years old, been balding since probably 17, using dutasteride for about a year with Xandrox15% for 8 months). I answered yes. He wa shilling the product you can find at this website:

http://www.hairgrowmiracle.com

What do you guys think? He invited me to the seminar today, but I was too embarassed to go. Apparently, they have consultants that deal with each client individually, and then do follow ups as well. The dude was an Asian guy with broken English. That would explain the bad grammar contained in the website. I don't know if that is a tell tale sign of their professionalism. When talking to the dude, I had asked him how it was different from minoxidil. He stated that it was not hormone based. Now I'm pretty sure all minoxidil does is act on the blood vessels leading to the follicles, so at that point I stopped taking the guy seriously.

Any advice on the legitimacy of this product would be greatly appreciated.

I just checked the site and it seems a bit dodgy. Not much information on the site and it doesnt say how much the product is and where to get it from. I have a feeling that they probably charge an arm and a leg for the product which is probably some herbal crap that doesn't work. But then again, why not go and see what they have to say if its free? This way atleast people in the forum will know more about this product and know if its a scam. What make's me think it is a scam is the faq section where some of the answers don't make sense. There also say that you can see results within 2 weeks!! IT MUST BE THE CURE!! lol

OH MAAAAAAAN!

That is the funniest site I've seen in ages. Some highlights:

From the "How it Works" section:

"...hair growth is governed by the state of the hair follicle, supply of the nipple blood and quality of the master cell, it is also directly related to the endocrine hormone..."

Also:

"Many ingredients are used in cooking and supplements for thousands of years." So what - put the sh*t on my head, stick my head in the oven, and in an hour I'm done? That might suit Hannibal Lecter, but not me.

Or the Homepage:

"The all natural Hair Grow Miracle series has shown major benefits of hair regrowth and stopping hair loss through ... enhancing the activity of melanin cells" I want hair, not a tan.

Or the "True Story" section:

"Hair Grow Miracle product helped me to re-grow my hair in just 8 days after losing hair for more than 40 years". Yes. Of course it did.

Thanks 1979 for giving me such a great a laugh. I appreciate it.

Damn you beat me to it. I was going to post something nigh-on identical, only with more sarcasm. :)

Early bird catches the worm

But yeah, you could probably create an hour long stand-up routine based on the material in that website. I'm half tempted to go to their seminars just for the comedy value...

On a related note 1979, you should have a look at:

http://www.hairlosslibrary.com/hairloss ... claims.htm

I happened to come across it, and most of what it says seems pretty sound advice.

Anything that has got the words miracle in it's title is automatically a scam. Yeah, great website...gave me a few laughs.

Don't get me wrong, normally I don't give this kind of stuff a second thought (I only use the big 3 and have been doing so for over a year). The one interesting part is their willingness to have you back to gauge your improvement. Now they could be just shitting you and have you come back and say you're one of the few who does not show improvement on their product, and that's fine. Trust me, it's strange having a guy shill this stuff in person.

I'm actually pretty happy with my hair, but still get caught with false hope from time to time.

man you can tell that this sh*t is fake... yeah like you said the grammar freakin sucks and what the hell? within 3 weeks the person regrew 2,000 new hairs? haha if this sh*t was true every other hair loss combating medication company would go bankrupt. 1979 did this guy that referred this bullshit scam to you have any issues with his hair?

I guess I can see what your saying, but I'm pretty confident it would be a crock of sh*t. No doubt you'll be asked/pushed/pressured to part with a substantial wad of cash (note there are no price quotes on the website), and you'll just end up feeling like a jerk with cooking oil on his head & nipple blood in his veins.

We all get our hopes up from time to time, but I really wouldn't waste your time with this sh*t; if you do decide to investigate - don't part with any of your hard earned cash.

Appears to me to be positioned as a group-sell product:( Much like Amway works etc.

Don't do it. They are everywhere. Why just last week as I was driving to the welfare department, I paused for a moment to check my comb over in the rearview mirror and a little asian man crawled out of my glove box holding a bottle of miracle gro.

The morning after the seminar I woke up next to a large woman (about a 7 on the norwood scale) with an eyepatch. I was wearing an eye patch too.

she started the evening with no eyes.

Were you there, Ty? Can you tell me who, how, what happened after we had the fruit punch and the warm chocolate chip cookies? Its all locked away forever in my subconscious?

After you passed out from the fruit punch, she preformed a rudimentary operation to transfer one of your eyes to her eyeless head, being done blind this was an ugly sight to watch especially as she initially started at the wrong end.

We don't need hairs

Hi, why bother to read that website. Bald makes us look more sexy. I would never go to any Asian seminars or Asian stores. I would rather have no hairs than to beg Asian people to help me to grow hairs.

I knew this was all due to my titty blood. Ever since my nipples became saggy my hairloss has increased. Maybe if I squeeze them I will increase circulation and grow more hair.
