Hello, I am new here.
I recently went to get a free hair analysis at this "clinic". I was very skeptical from the start, since it was free and all.
When I went, the person did a light hair pull from my front part of my hair (close to the frontal hairline), then another one from the top middle part of my hair, and the last one on my crown.
He put it on a piece of paper and categorized the strands of hair. He then put my hair strands under a microscope with some lines as measurement, and scrolled from the top to the bottom of the hair follicle.
The hair was visibly getting shorter as it got close to the hair bulb.
I was wondering if this means that I am thinning/have male pattern baldness.
he said that my hair had small little bumps and those bumps mean that im producing too much oil in the hair, and that oil is blocking nutrients from getting into the hair, causing thinning.
He later gave me a 4 week plan costing around $1.9k dollars. the plan is for natural topical creams that are supposed to stop hair loss. I didn't really think 'natural' products would help much, and the price made me think he's a con artist.
He later gave me his card with the title 'manager', making me even more skeptical.
Does anyone know if that 'hair analysis' is accurate?
Thanks
