Need Help Figuring Out If This 'hair Analysis' Is Accurate

Hello, I am new here.

I recently went to get a free hair analysis at this "clinic". I was very skeptical from the start, since it was free and all.

When I went, the person did a light hair pull from my front part of my hair (close to the frontal hairline), then another one from the top middle part of my hair, and the last one on my crown.

He put it on a piece of paper and categorized the strands of hair. He then put my hair strands under a microscope with some lines as measurement, and scrolled from the top to the bottom of the hair follicle.

The hair was visibly getting shorter as it got close to the hair bulb.

I was wondering if this means that I am thinning/have male pattern baldness.

he said that my hair had small little bumps and those bumps mean that im producing too much oil in the hair, and that oil is blocking nutrients from getting into the hair, causing thinning.

He later gave me a 4 week plan costing around $1.9k dollars. the plan is for natural topical creams that are supposed to stop hair loss. I didn't really think 'natural' products would help much, and the price made me think he's a con artist.

He later gave me his card with the title 'manager', making me even more skeptical.

Does anyone know if that 'hair analysis' is accurate?

Thanks

Yeah a scam. Do yourself a favor and go to a real dermatologist. When I first freaked out that I was losing hair I went to some hair clinic specialist, similar to this. The lady took me to a room and used a $20 microscope device on my scalp which zoomed into the follicles. She would point at areas, and say some random bullshit. Gave me a spiel about how all the current treatments like finasteride and rogaine are ineffective and cause many side effects. Offered me laser treatment for like $3,000. Booked a derm appointment the next day. He looked at my scalp, said I had male pattern baldness, and gave me a script for finasteride and told me to use minoxidil.

Thanks for the reply guys, I knew this was a scam.... I dont know how this is even legal.

Its these guys:

https://www.micronlabs.com

While I didn't originally believe that the oil in my hair was the cause, when he put the hair follicle under the microscope (I could see it through the monitor), I could see the hair getting thinner as he moved it closer to the hair root. Would that be a good indication that my hair is thinning, or could it be something else?

I did book an appointment with a dermatologist, but since health care is free here in Canada, I have to wait till November to see him.

I know its not a lot of info, I couldn't find anything online, and I am stressing out. I'm pretty desperate for information at this point, and waiting that many months is going to be the end of me. I would like to at least get an idea if its male pattern baldness (I have a very noticeable widows peak, thats why i went in the first place).

Thanks again

That's a good question, and the answer is YES. Believe it or not, SCALP hair has "primary" and "secondary" hair follicles on it. The secondary hair follicles go bald, with androgen alopecia.

That's why androgen alopecia doesn't make our hair go completely bald (Even Norwood seven guys have side and back hair).

So, I will also give you FREE ADVICE. You are in the INITIAL STAGES of baldness.

TREAT NOW, OR GO PERMANENTLY BALD LATER!!

I very well could be wrong about this so if anyone else here can shime in that'd be cool, but with your hair being thinner towards the root and it having the bulb at the end when it's plucked indicates it was in the telogen phase.

Meaning that once the hair enters telogen it's no longer receiving the nutrients therefore the thinner appearance towards the root, now if the entire hair is looking more translucent then that's miniaturization.
