good day to all. i've recently started on a low carbohydrate/high protein diet. i was wondering if decreasing carbohydrate in my diet might affect my hairloss. i usually eat three pieces of wheat bread thoughout the day in between small meals like fruit, fish, protein bars. if anyone can enlighten me on this, i would appreciate it very much.

This type of diet causes a Telogen Effluvium in some people. If you have male pattern baldness then a telogen effluvium will speed up the progression some. I did the same thing last year and was shedding like crazy.

do you have any links that show this is caused by a low carb diet?

A low GI diet has been recently proven in Australia to help with acne through it's action on insulin resistance, so I'd assume it would help with hair loss due to insulin resistance as well...

Surely it's beneficial for hair loss.

Lets get real here, the results of hairloss on any type of diet are going to be (extremley) minimal. Either you have m.p.b or you dont it's that simple.
