I have noticed thining in the front of my hairline for the past month. I can see difference when i compare to old photos of mine. I am 21. Photos of my hair from lets say six month ago look normal.

All of my grandfathers and grandmothers have great full hair, and all my uncles and aunts from both sides and my parents. No one bold in the family (except hair getting thinner but after age 50-60).

I had a blood test and it looks good (this test doesn't tell you vitamin levels but I think I am fine).
And my health is great.

Do you think it can be genetic after all? And what are the chances of me having a genetic hair loss starting in my age considering my heredity background? Or may there be another cause?

I am confused because I don't know what is going on.

I will be very happy if someone with knowledge will shed light on my situation.

THANK YOU!!!

It would be a bit strange for you to be a sufferer of male pattern baldness with no male pattern baldness in your extended family, but not unheard of. It has a strong hereditary component.

Is it temple recession or the middle of your hair line? It may be easier if you post pictures. Besides watching it closely you could also speak to a dermatologist or hair loss clinic.

Pictures would help. Definitely possible without any known person in family balding though. Literally no one on my mom's or dad's side of the family who started balding before their 30s, and most started in their late 40s to 50s. I just got unlucky I guess and started at 19. Both my older brothers have no hair loss, and my dad's didn't start until he was in his 40s. Can just get really unlucky.
