Jayman,

where did you get the $5/pill notion?

It's available from a few online pharmacies for about $1/pill.

had a bad run with some dutas from unitedpharmacies. I got really sick from taking a 1.0mg a day dose. Never again. The 0.5mg dose wasnt doing anything for me

A lot of people here order the generics from Inhouse pharmacy and say they never have a problem though.

I buy GSK avodart from melonipharma now, the price difference isnt too bad. My hair improved once i got back on the GSK stuff.

Sorry I meant 5 for 10 pills, and the wow was an exclamation that that is is very cheap.

Its 10 for 10.

has anyone been on finasteride for a long time, and the switched to an indian generic dutasteride? That would be the test. If someone was thinning at a noiceable rate, got on finasteride, regrew a little hair, and stayed on it 2 years, then got on an idian generic dutasteride for 6 months, and did not lose a lot of hair, that would prove they have something good in there.

Guys I'm going to have to steer you well clear of veltride. I was using it for almost 6 months and only just found out that dutasteride is supposed to come in a soft gel cap with liquid inside wheras my veltride came in little hard tablet form. The first 2 batches I bought were tastless and I suspect did nothing for me and any success I got was actually from the minoxidil as I got goo regrowth in the hairline and all over except for the temples really.

My third batch tasted and smelled disgusting! Every time I took one I'd struggle not to throw up for a couple of hours after. They made me feel really ill for a few days so I quit and ordered some genuine avodart and have been on that for 2 weeks with no stomach upset.

My advice is stay well clear of veltride!! Of course, there could be a chance that my last batch was fake or something but from now on I will only order avodart or dutas from a respected source to minimise chances of getting fakes or poorly made treatment.

Avodart

I just recently heard about avodart for hairloss. Will a normal doctor prescribe this for hairloss?

probably not, you'd have to get one from a dermatologist

I think there are places online that can give you a script over the net though, medical wellness centre etc

or you can just buy it online without a script if you want to. For generic stuff buy from inhouse pharmacy, for GSK avodart buy from melonipharma.

Thanks Aussieavodart.....I will give it a shot. Is there any downside to using generics? Should be the same, right?

well, ive had a bad experience with generic dutasteride from unitedpharmacies so i would warn you against using them, but there are many other people, particularly from this board, who say they have had good results with the generics from various online pharmacies

Bottom line, ordering ANY drug from an internet pharmacy always carries the risk of it being fake but in my opinion if you order the GSK stuff its less likely to be faked. I emailed GSK a little while back and they said they can verify weather one of their products is counterfeit if you send them the original packaging.... i just dont think Indian manufacturers go the the lengths to ensure they have the checks and balances in place like the other multinational drug companies do. Drug manufacture in India is a burgouning industry.

I order GSK avodart from melonipharma and havent a problem with them as of yet, and i can definetly say that their products are authentic, they made me shed for 12 weeks, then after that i stopped losing hair completely.
