i have posted a few times on here bout my situation...but i found a pic of my maternal grandfather, maybe you guys can tell me what you think..
maternal grandfather(age 28)

me(18 and a half years)

my brother (27), my dad (53), and myself

dads side

dad - 53, nw2 no loss
uncle - 57, nw2 no loss
grandfather - nw1-1.5ish till about 85
dads maternal grandfather - about a Norwood 2.5 around 70 ish, never progressed past that

moms side
maternal grandfather - appeared to be nw2-2.5ish at around 28, not sure totally
great uncles - nw2 at 85


and my brother - 27, nw2 no loss
and thats the rundown on my family

Couldn't find any signs of balding in your family.

If your great grandparents are okay and your grandparents uncles and sisters, don't worry about it man you got a free pass.

Especially in that 2nd picture..and hairline is just perfect....lucky bastard.

also my maternal grandfather doesnt have temporal peaks/points.....is that baldness? cause the derm i saw bout my hair said it sometimes goes hand in hand with a mature hairline. but hes the only male where i dont know if baldness is a factor or not, every other male in my family doesnt start loosing their hair untill their 80's if they loose it even. my dad has crazy hair aha

No some people don't have them but it doesn't mean baldness. I knew a kid who didn't have temple points and he was a NW1.

nope, i went to a derm in may and he said everything is fine, but i just wanted to see what people thought my maternal grandfather was.

May i ask you why you came here? Did you ever notice any hairloss?

i came on here when my folliculitis formed.. and i started to loose hair in the affected area, but now its growing back and ive become paranoid about balding, i cant help it...even though there is pretty much next to 0 balding in my family and i have beento a derm who said my hair is fine.

Amazing! You all have such beautiful hair, hairlines the whole bit. Im trying to maintain. LOL BTW my dad makes the same expression when he takes pics ..almost a subtle kind of smile. The "dad look' take care.

Yup. Sorry to say it but you're balding. I had hair like yours, six months later, I was at a NW8.

I suggest you invest in a wig straight away.

Your hair looks good mate. Check it every few months or so and keep an eye out for thinning at the crown.

For the moment, you have nothing at all to worry about. Trust me, when it's thinned, you'll know about it.
For now, you're waaaaaay too early to consider doing anything about it. Don't go messing with your hormones until you have to. Just take a photo every few months to compare and go enjoy life.
