Hi,
I am new to minoxidil and looking for advice.
1) Is it Ok If i apply 1x a day?
2) If I stop Min,What happens to hair which I have right now? (I know the hair min has grown will be lost. I am talkin abt the existin hair right now).
3) Any risks if I miss a weekend? (skipping --how many days is ok )
4) I heard lotta ppl complaing abt the itching and flaking (anyway to control or avoid it)?
Please , all you veterans need some light. Thanks

Of course it is, however, it's generally recommended that you use it twice daily to receive best results.

You will go below baseline (how your hair looked before treatment, but a bit worse), then you will eventually climb back up to baseline, then start to lose it again. I know, it sucks.

This is definitely acceptable, but I wouldn't miss over 1 week every couple of months. Constant treatment is necessary. If you're going to miss a couple of days, try making at least one application per day to be SAFE.

Using Nizoral has significantly lowered the amount of flakes in my hair. In rotation with something like Head & Shoulders, T/Gel (which has anti-inflammatory properties like Nizoral, but to a lesser extent), or another shampoo of your liking. Nizoral should only be used 2-3/week. It helps.

Is it possible to c any results using once a day?

So u mean If I discontibue minoxidil, I get back to where Iam right now?

You might see results after once-a-day action-- but your results would probably be just maintenance and probably not regrowth.

If you discontinue minoxidil, then all of your gains will be lost, and you'll be at the "start of treatment," so to say.
