Hello Everyone,

I'm a complete newbie and reading many of your beginner posts have been incredibly helpful -- a big thank you!

After deliberating for too long, I decided to take the plunge into having hair and continue feeling amazing for myself again! I'd like to ease into it by starting at a salon/hair piece "specialist" before taking the DIY route. I'm currently facing challenges with finding salons and hairdressers in Philadelphia who have experience with men's hair pieces. Google directs me to several hair replacement/piece specialists and one of them quoted me $1000 for the first piece plus a hair cut - this was for a "custom" poly piece. Is the price about right? I do value paying for good service but also want to see if any Philadelphians/East Coasters have recommendations for salons and hair dressers who have experience with hair pieces.

Ideally, a salon is open to working with a piece I purchase, most likely from Northwest Lace or Lordhair -- but I'm also open to working with their own vendors.

Also, is there such a thing as a fully breathable poly hair piece? That's what the pricey salon suggested for my lifestyle.

Thank you in advance and I'd love to compile your recommendations and share the Google Doctor for future Philadelphia/East Coasters!
