I started finasteride, foam, and nizoral 1%. Any views on adding revita or nioxin?

I'd up the nizoral to 2% if possible.

I used it for 3 months everday and it literally halted my daily sheds. I went away and stopped using it and 1 month later I shed more than I could mentally handle. I screamed like a b!tch in the shower. CLUNKS of hair were coming out together.

but there are some hair experts who've termed the phrase "nizoral greed" ie people who've used the stuff too much, everyday, for the nice way it leaves the hair looking but some have reported terrible sheds after doing this.

I'd be concerned using nizoral 2% too often as it's very harsh - could turn your hair to straw or irritate your scalp like mad

I'm with Einstein. It's the topicals. nizoral 2% (the 1% did ab-solute-ly NOTHING) and minoxidil has done the most for me. I couldn't handle the harshness of nizoral so I got the ketoconazole (active ingredient in nizoral that halts the hair loss) placed or compounded into my fav shampoo that nourishes my hair and now i can use the shampoo. I can even afford to leave it in my hair for hours allowing the keto to soak out the dht REALLY well because the deliver sys or shampoo that it's in is really conditioning.

@Quantum, it's not the nizoral so much. Its the cheap shampoo they put the nizoral in. I know because a pharmacist has put keto in a detangling shampoo for me (they first got a list of the ingredients to determine if the keto would mix or 'work' on a pharmaceutical level) and for the first time, I can use my keto shampoo and it doesn't harden it. At. All.

Big sheds after you stopped Nizoral? Anyone else had this happened to them ?
I've never heard Nizoral would cause big sheds after stopping using it. It's not a minoxidil! It may cause shedding at the beginning when treatmen start working

oh if I don't keep up the keto I will shed. no more dht blocking. And shed it will.

hair follicles are not codependent on ketoconazole so I don't believe people experience huge sheds after stopping using products that contain keto.
Your hairloss will probably continue with it's normal phase after you stop using it.

hair follicles that are sensitive to dht are co dep on any anti dht/androgen product if they want to remain in their socket, by George they are, as was positive proof when I didn't use keto and now that I use it frequent and let it sit for hours (its compounding in a moisturizing, conditioning shampoo). It was the only thing I started using and I went form 300 to 10 hairs a day.
