i've been dabbling in tinder and swiping right on pretty much everyone. i get none, i'm talking ZERO matches, and i live in a very populated area. my pictures aren't particularly hideous. they are from throughout this year where my rat's nest has been relatively presentable from certain angles when dry.

here are some pics i use. am i doing something wrong? there is an angry-looking selfie there where you can see my trash hairline. is non-perfect density an automatic left-swipe? what the f*** am i supposed to do in this world?

You're a substantially better looking guy than I am and I get matches on tinder.

Bumble is better though, try bumble. The algorithm they use transfers power to men, as in no conversation can happen unless women make the first comment.

Do you use superlikes? When you say zero, do you mean zero or just f*** all as in 1-2 every swipethrough? I find I get very few matches in general (1-2) a day but 50% of my superlikes work. I only have one photo and it is a weird selfie without me smiling and I'm not as attractive as you and I still do ok.

Definitely get rid of the angry pics. Personally I think the cat pic is cute.

Doesn't that make it way harder because typically women don't like to make the first move unless they are incredibly attracted to the guy? How many matches are you getting on Bumble compared to Tinder? Are there many people that use it?

Women don't want to make the first move, but they are required to do so on bumble. It is impossible for men to speak to women to bumble without women making the first move.

Regular bumble use means 1 or 2 matches a week, but I'm no longer making any effort in talking to them.

A good photo. Features look good in particular broad shoulders, Caucasian features, decent teeth, eyebrows, hair, skin. It's not a selfie.

I might be mistaken, but I personally think that it's unmasculine for men to prefer cats to dogs. Your body language also looks feminine, you're narrowing your shoulder, and the camera angle narrows your face. Backpack is nerdy but might work depending on your age -- how old are you?

The cat *might* work if you compensated by looking more masculine otherwise, for example by (slightly) man spreading on a coach in your apartment, with a friend taking your picture, and the cat on your lap and not necessarily looking at the camera.

This picture says that you're involved in the CEAT organization but people are only going to give a sh*t if they know what CEAT is about. Further, the blue shirt makes you look like a holocaust victim, you look super skinny and under built. Tight v-neck shirts are not a good look for you unfortunately. It could be the camera angle. A slightly looser polo would work better with your body type.

I think this one's ok. Your features and clothing look nice, and the background says that you have some personality and sense of art.

IMO this picture doesn't work for you. Some of your features are ok, like the jawline, but you look serious, boring, and thus scary. Women want to feel safe.

honestly i am more feminine than masculine. (this is actually the thing that devastates me most about hair loss) and I can't be anything other than myself. if women aren't attracted to that then i'm out of luck. i'm never going to be the masculine frat boy who appeals to those primal instincs, which is why i can't appear that way naturally in pics.

I'm not German (i'm from indiana / michigan) but I studied abroad there and got involved in their soccer system, so the Germans are my boys during world cups and euro cups.

I think you said it in your post just now. Women see, honestly, ultra nerd. N you're not horrible looking, but not good looking enough to pull it off, and get dates off the Internet.

Now, if you change the pics, just normal looking ones, even if you feel a bit deceptive, it may garner some dates. Then if you can get them in person, you can get them face to face n win them over.

I know it may not be what you want to hear, but you have to finesse the online dating to get over. It just is what it is. Unless you're mega chad....then you don't need silly apps in the first place.

I used to get matches on Tinder but I have no f*****g idea what has happened recently, it's like I'm a ghost to women now. I'm thinking it has to do with the recent change in the sexual market in my area. With the increasing competition, average to below average men like me are left battling for the scraps. 3-4 years ago I could score on Tinder with ease, with good looking women. Coincidentally after hair loss that has changed, with that being the cause which I doubt since all my pics you could never tell I'm a baldcel.

That leaves me to the conclusion that it just has to be the gradual change in the sexual market. I'm gonna have to run 3rd world game because where I'm at I'd have to settle for a land whale or a roasted single mother who will beta bux me, thanks but no thanks.

I'm gonna give some attention too to the sex dolls, might get me one in a few years if it gets real bad, before I try 3rd world game of course.
