Not having kids because of hair loss is silly.

Are you saying you'd have been better off if you were never born? Do do realize if a NW1 had impregnated your mother, you would not have been born ever? It would be someone else who was born.

If you truly believe that hair loss is worth than death, they why have you not committed suicide? It is annoying seeing how good things can be and knowing you can't have it, but I think it is obvious that it is better to be alive, and I'm sure your son would agree. And what if you have a daughter?

I read a post in the other thread about a guy who said his father was selfish for having kids. How can you say that? Would you rather not be born? Why don't you commit suicide then?

Hair loss can be devastating, but you can get over it. You just have to accept the fact that dating won't be a fun part of your life, and some jobs that require good looks will be harder to get. You can still work, have friends, and go do fun stuff. If your idea of fun is showing off your status and social circle at a bar, then you may have problems. If white water rafting is more your taste, then hair loss is not an issue.

I'm tempted to have kids to make a statement that my genes are good enough. But the truth is I'm very tempted to live an easy life without kids. I still have a tiny wondering though if reincarnation happens on some biological level and requires having many kids to do so. Maybe alpha males who breed like bunnies will have a second life, at the expense of other men. Or maybe it is nothing like that, and I'd be better off enjoying this one to the max. But if I were thinking of having kids, my hair loss would not be a factor. Your main concern should be to get a paternity test and make sure you are not raising someone else's kid at your expense/child support.

And if you think your genes are bad because of height, you are wrong there too. Short people can survive just as well and do better and some things and worse at others. If you want to be a caver, being short and thin will get you the job. Height is attractive to women, but not something you should feel bad about. If you pass your genes on, good for you.

I love CCS's logic.
If you want to be a circus clown being a midget is an advantage, and if you want to be a drag artist having a small penis is an advantage! So swings and roundabouts.

''Why don't you commit suicide then?''

i would, but instead i continue to suffer because i don't have the guts to kill myself. And think about all those failed suicide attempts that happen. i'd be worse off probably even more disfigured. tho if i had a gun i'd probably shoot myself at some point. it's not so easy to get a gun here as in America.

you want to kill yourself over hairloss? or do you have some other issues, because if it's just hairloss, then you musn't have faced much adversity in your life other than hairloss.

if it's that bad, just wear a hat more often or if money allows get a wig man!

well i do have plenty of other things wrong with me. I'm short (5'8) and very skinny like skeleton skinny. 90 % of men would destroy me in a fight. i have medical conditions like acid reflux and colon dsyfunction. Plenty of bad things though i feel like i could live with all that if it wasn't for balding. i hate it the most.

Well, the way I see it: I'm 30 something and my life feels empty at the moment, if I was a woman I'd be a typical hormonal woman wanting a baby, ie broody.

First of all, I want a partner in my life, someone who will be my best friend and as a natural consequence of that relationship I want a kid in my life as well. I want to fill that empty space in my life.

In other words, I don't think living an easy life without kids is very fulfilling. Life feels pointless after awhile.

If 30 year olds are too boring for you, you should get some 20 year old friends. They are typically short on cash, but if you supply the cash for spray paint, they'll teach you how to tag up the town with them at night, that or just spray it into a bag and get high. That will make you the coolest 30 year old they know.

Nah, that doesn't really appeal to me... Been there, done that, time to move onto something else.

Even if you have boys and they end up inheriting the male pattern baldness gene, who's to say in the 25 years it takes for them to grow up, that they don't have a cure? (or at the very least better treatments). Maybe they come out with a new preventative with no sides, when they hit 25, they can just start taking that.

Yes, I would rather I had not been born. This is not the same as committing suicide --- I had "paid" the price of shitty aesthetics combined with a perfectionist drive. Now, I find solace in movies, p**rn, food and music. The fact that having done very well in college education means nothing when it comes to the opposite sex doesnt hurt as much. I am competitive. I did well in school by pushing super hard. I tried to do well in sports/athletics. But I was not good at it. That really really hurt. Settling for less is alien to me. Hence, i will be alone.

If I had known the pain I would have to go through when in the womb, I would have wrapped the umbilical cord around my neck like in "The butterfly effect".

Yes, the pain can be overcome with time, but is it worth it?

My dad probably thinks he settled. My mom isnt great to look at. She also has had health and hormonal problems (any wonder why I ended up with shitty genes). He doesnt respect her, and he emotional abused her and us kids (divorce wasnt in our culture). I dont want to end up like him. I wont settle for someone I dont really value; for otherwise I will end up hating her like my dad. No person deserves my hate.

Having a super competitive drive without actually having the physical and mental attributes to BE super competitive --- its hell.
