I was on finasteride for about 4/5 years. It seemed to be working, in fact now that i've been off it for a year I can say it was working. I stopped due to side effects. I put on loads of weight. Thought it could be my lifestyle but since quiting I've lost 1 and a half stone. I recently had a lipo op to get rid of results of gyno but im still not happy. I have the lumps under my nipples which either itches or burns which need removing. Plenty of nice sacrs now, im going to enjoy explaing those to people around the pool! Anyway ive been on spironolactone and revivogen since(what a ballache applying them) and i have lost what I was keeping whilst on finasteride. They maybe slowing things down, who knows!?
Also I am starting to finally get facial hair. I think finasteride was preventing that. The lads were forever taking the p iss. 25 years old, going bald but couldnt grow a beard. Also I looked very bloated, especially in the face, absolutely no definition.I looked wierd! a babyface but balding. Not nice. Anyway, when I sort some cool stubble, I wonna give finasteride another go cuz I know it works for me. As for the sides, im going to excersise like hell to keep the weight down, dunno about the gyno thing though. I think maybe it effected me so bad because I started taking finasteride before I had finished going from boy to man ie. facial hair, muscle growth etc..Maybe my hormones hadnt settled down. Other sides i got was hot flushes, another estrogen related side effect. I dunno what im doing anymore my head is up my a rse. On another note, anyone know of a minoxidil that doesnt itch like hell and produce a snowstorm if you touch your head.
Just another point, i tried dutasteride for a while but stopped when my Doctor hit the roof when i told him. Mayber that triggered the gyno.

By "results" you mean gyno right?

Im glad you opted for this route. It has worked for me. Are you on the 5% lotion/cream ?

First off ... keeping in mind that people attribute everything from a hangnail to gyno to their Propecia use ... Id say if you had genuine Gyno ... maybe that was Propecia related, but weight gain to the point of needing liposuction I would not blame on Propecia. You were on it for 4 years. Half the people I know from college went from athletic fitness freaks to 200+ pound pigs in 4 to 5 years simply as a side effect of getting married. Also keep in mind that low body fat usually results in little or no gyno whereas high body fat tends to lend onesself to higher chances of gyno.

i'm from the uk, but in canada - if you talk about taking the piss they usually think you're saying, I am taking a piss, especially when you say it over the phone!!
