Not Sure If Androgenic Alopecia Or Not

Background:

22 years old. The right side of my head has always had thinner hair than the left side- since childhood at least. My hair directly below right temple has been thin and wispy since I got my first short cut at 6. When I was 16, my right hairline receded a little bit- just enough to be noticeable but not much past that. I've been keeping an eye on it since then. My hair has always stuck straight up. At anything below two-three inches you can easily see whatever part of my scalp is pointed directly towards the viewer/camera. I always figured it wasn't a problem because what I could see was so pasty white compared to my exposed skin.

In the last 5 years, not much about it has changed, but I had it cut in a skin fade to a 2 on top because it kept my head cool when I ran. I decided to grow it out on top about three months ago. I noticed that the right side looks thin, but only from above at an angle. From directly above, it looks full. From directly in front, and directly to the side, same. I've noticed no escalation in shedding and no more miniaturized hairs than usual, but there is a strange circle directly above the nape of my neck with hair that is obviously thinner than the hair surrounding it.

Is this androgenic alopecia or should I see a doctor?
