Observations of minoxidil Use

I've been using minoxidil foam for the past five months. (I've been using finasteride for the past five years as well.)

-I shed a few hairs, not alot.
-I lost a few strong hairs that have not come back

-After five months, a few hairs have grown on the hairline
-Less hair falls out
-The area where I have weak hairs, those hairs are growing longer
-But the hairs are not growing thicker. Since I am diffuse thinner, I was hoping that minoxidil would make them thicker.
