Ordering Fincar from CHEAP online sites.

Hey,

For the past year I have been taking Fincar that I ordered from DRU-online.com. I ordered 5 mg pills and quartered them with a knife.

I was doing a bit of reading on the board before ordering some more (wanted to see if there was anywhere even cheaper), when I came across this post (don't recall the author offhand):

"Does the following describe what you have....

10 tablets in bubble packs - white plastic with foil
underside?
Round blue tablets with no name?
"Fincar" - clear against blue field with "Finasteride
Tablets" above it?
"Fincar" - 5x above the top and 5x across the bottom?
"Cipla" and "Mfd by Cipla LTD, Virgonagar, Bangalore"

Along with the usual patient information?

If so, these are fake.

The FBI recently uncovered a group of drug
counterfeiters operating a lab in South Florida.
Apparently, they were making "generics" for all kinds
of popular substances - Propecia, Tylenol, Tums,
Ephedra free Hydroxy cut, Necco Wafers etc... - all of
which (and more) are in very high demand on the black
market. An FBI spokesman was quoted as saying: "left
unchecked, these drugs would become more popular (and
therefore dangerous) than cocaine and heroin. The
potential for the underworld cartels and subsequent
related crime was staggering. Good thing we nipped it
in the bud..." The FBI also released labeling
information so consumers could easily identify if they
had received this phony product."

This describes the type of pills I received exactly. I am not sure whether to believe this post as legitimate or not. I was considering ordering again from DRU-online.com or generics-online-pharmacy.com. Does anyone have any extensive experience with either? I know that there is no surefire way to know whether or not these sorts of sites are offering legit products, but I would definitely appreciate any specific knowledge, warnings, or reassurances from other posters.

Thanks!

Most likely the ones you have are legitimate. Cipla is a real company in india, but if you're going to counterfeit a drug, you will do it to exacting standards in makemanship, and labelling.

I wouldn't worry too much.

And as a side note... the Fincar I bought about 2 months ago arrived in a package that was posted from India. I had to sign for it and everything... post office traced it all the way here.

Little off topic:
Someday, I went to inhousepharmacy and looked at proscar. Isn't that kinda expensive for proscar or is that about right?

I got mine from medicinedrugstore and they are like those you describe EXCEPT they say:
Mfd. by CIPLA LTD.
MIDC Patalganga

On mine, there's NO mention of Virgonagar, Bangalore. Of course, that may just be because some pills are manufactured in different factories/locales. I think Cipla has several pill factories in India.
