it's called inflammation. You can do a google search on it but basically it's because the oil on your scalp combined with DHT causes some autoimmune defense reaction with your scalp and your body basically attacks itself thinking its protecting it. That burn is very bad its your scalp attacking your hair follicles.

What helps is keeping your scalp clean, not getting stressed and eating a low fat diet(these will reduce the amount of oil your scalp produces). Nizoral shampoo is really good for the burning/inflammation and I hear Revita is good as well. I started using Nizoral again a fews days ago and my scalp feels a lot better. It's a bit harsh though so only use it 2 or 3 times a week.

I've been taking fincar for about 8 months and it's done nothing for the burning or my hair loss in general. The legit proscar might help though. I also started taking saw palmetto but I'm not going to make any judgements on that yet.

Yes i had that on the scalp. I had even bone pain in the skull (vertex area mainly) prior to a shedding.
They are gone since I use finasteride 1mg/day and nizoral.

Give it a couple weeks. It's been about a week for me back on it and I still get a tiny tickle on my scalp in the morning but after I eat breakfast and take some saw palmetto it's gone in only a few minutes. Hopefully finasteride has the same effect for you. finasteride actually made my itch worse but I think I'm either allergic or just too sensitive to it. I don't think it's a common reaction by any means.

Good luck to you

if use pin to pinch it at front you fell more pain rather than back(donor area) why?

all you peoples are thinking about nizoral and finasteride when a pain comes to your scalp

actually i think its wrong .

there is a strong relationship between sebum and dht .dht triggers sebum and sebum blocks oxygen with vitamins which they use to survive with healthy follicle when its become cut there is no more supplied or supplied very small amount oxy and vit they will slowly dies. after some year of thinning you can see the sebum clearly visible in your head by overflow. and only sebaceous gland are chin face top of the head you can find more sebaceous gland in Norwood region other than face .

i believe most of the teenagers who are going to bald will face more oily face when you are at 17.and then small acne to big acne with in years .

if you are facing pimples with a large group, with thinning in your head you will definitely go bald .

i heard some peoples say that even there been with finasteride over 3 or 5 years they cant control hair loss or reverse it they might slow down it why?

because sebum are triggered by dht and continue to survive with help other androgens.

so you have to mind that more sebaceous gland are active Norwood region than the other regions.

It could also be from something you've eating/are eating..believe it or not. Food allergies etc.

Get on selenium sulfide shampoo. It's GREAt for scalp irritations. Nizoral makes things worse for me.

Yeah my scalp aches a lot too and then I lose patches of hair from the area that has ached.

I definitely do not think that Nizoral can stop it. Hell, I've tried Nizoral and haven't seen it do squat for me. I've used it both a few times a week, as well as everyday.

I think this scalp ache is only something that can be stopped by internal drugs. Also, women in menopause that also start losing their hair have the exact same thing happen to them.

I definitely think this pain is caused by the immune system attacking the hair follicles. What is causing this to happen though, I do not know.

try the selenium sulfide shampoo (ask in your pharmacy). I'm pretty sure it will help.
