Personallity Matters.

I'm a very average looking guy, obviously balding, and still pull off girls that any average guy could pull. And i'm very sick of reading all the negativity here.

I won't give you a lesson about "confidence" (i think its importance is overatted, and it doesn't come just from the void), but the whole personnality matters quite a lot, if a girl likes talking to you, if you make her feel cool (i won't say "make her laugh either", we're not a clown), she may look above your imperfections.

If anormal guy like me can attract girls, i won't see why anybody who have a great personallity wouldn't.

While I completely agree with you, the guys on here that are always whining have already given up on life and nothing you say is going to change their minds about this particular topic. This thread will quickly devolve into a pathetic little gathering of whining and crying and someone certainly will tell you that you are deluded for thinking this way.

Good Luck.

Hear hear! It's great to see so much positivity on here for a change. Hopefully it won't get derailed by the usual suspects!

tbh

the direction impact of hair loss has been heading is disheartening lately. if you wanted fool's paradise theres sbg, no need to contaminate this pure place of gritty harshness and acknowledgement of the not so engaging reality. but then again it's understandable, because it's overrun by Norwood 2's who like to breed images of hopeful future, which is also understandable, since they're not in the position yet to be forced to submerge in the darkness. being unfamiliar with consequences of male pattern baldness their situation allows them to be positive for now.

I'm sorry my mere presence here offends you so much. I have a lot of experience of depression and know that it's easy to get into that mindset, I did, and lost years as a result. Looking back now, I bitterly regret that. I know I come off as preachy, and I'm sorry about that too. It's as a reaction to some of the things that are said on here. There are forum members who complain of being stereotyped, yet then go and do the exact same thing to others. Ultimately, you can only change what you can change. People can be rude and they can be cruel, but if you give into that, they've won. The cruel and nasty people don't end up losing out, the bullied do.

Aside from, what, two real bald posters on here, it's actually the NW2s/NW2.5s where most of the negativity is coming from. It's pretty silly that most of those preaching about consequences of male pattern baldness are not bald themselves.

Chris, your presence doesn't bother me in the least, it wasn't directed at anyone in particular, just a general observation.

Aside from, what, two real bald posters on here,

which really is a shame. as far as im concerned, there should be more of them here, spreading awareness, making sure that the unprepared get to hear of the truth thereby lessening the blow. it's something that needs to be talked about imo.

Sorry Slipy, having a bad week to be honest. I need to be less sensitive, it's all that "alternative" CBT ;)

Ya, shame on those baldies who go on with their lives, they should really come to these forums and whine instead. In all seriousness, the fact that there are so few real bald regulars on here does say something.

Well if they ARE bald then im not surprised they dont come on here because they are bald cant hide it no more etc etc maybe SOME have dealt with it cause they have no choice i know not ALL people think like what i just said but you catch my drift most here are like what people here are saying Norwood 2/3 they can still get away with hair or still able to hide it or maybe their hair has started to fall out etc so off course they are gonna be here they be like "guys i need help im balding i can still hide it for now but dont know how long for i dont want people seeing me bald so does anyone know any meds?"... what got me over balding was the fact i couldnt "hide" it no more people knew so i was like **** it so WHEN i am totally bald i wont care.

You are so wrong. One of the main things a girl likes besides looks is the ability to make her laugh. Yes, they like a sense of humor.

First, how noticeable is your balding really, Norwood wise?

Second, you say you're average looking. That is not so bad when compared to real bald guys who are put in the below average category. For them, a great personality doesn't quite tip the scales enough in their favor when weighed against their ugly appearance to convince women they are worth the trouble. Alot of women out there hate bald guys.

UM, I don't think they go as far as "hating". I think they might not find a bald guy attractive. Hate is such a harsh word.

Dislike, uneasy with, unattractive whatever. I've seen the look of disgust on enough womens faces during that first glance assessment to know the truth about how they really feel about me. It happens to consistently to dismiss as coincidence. And there is a strong demographic of women (hell everybody) out there who judge based on appearances, to them being unattractive is a punishable offense.

seemed like a good idea at the time.

although i would replace the word whining with educating.
