this makes me often wonder...that people with really curly hair are more prone to hairloss.

Sorry if i have offended any male pattern baldness theories

I remember when he had a full hair. He has very thick hair but DHT does not care if you do have thick hair or not.

I think he was crying becaue his male pattern baldness forced him to retire because he could not stand at the look of himself and did not want the public to see him that way.

is Pete Sampras jewish? That could be why he has curly hair and is balding. (I'm jewish so I'm allowed to say that) Also, he has millions of dollars and a hot, and what looks like smart, wife so I think he's doing fine with or without the hair. :)

No, my Friend. He is Greek, actually Australian-Greek (of a second generation of immigrants in Australia).

I have also curly hair just like him and I believe that guys with curly hair seem to have more problems with male pattern baldness.

I was hoping this was a thread about Pete Sampras' shots, as in tennis shots... I used to watch him play when I was a kid.

....but no, it's another worthless "celebrity baldness" thread :gay:

Pete was my favourite tennis player when I was a kid... dunno why, but I also remember I didn't like Agassi all that much. More recently Agassi hasn't seemed such a bad player to root for against the current robots in modern tennis. Well except for that one Russian dude whose name escapes me right now; gotta have sympathy for a young NW7!

No, I haven't watched tennis in years. Sampras was one of my faves though, as well as Agassi.

Nowadays I wouldn't know half of the current world high-rankings.

Sampras shows the amazing power of Male Pattern Baldness. He used to have a beautiful thick head of black hair with a fairly low hairline. He is obviously headed to NW4-5 status easily. The sides have receeded, the line has receeded, a big bald spot has emerged in the back. Its amazing how the hairs just individually just "become" sensitive and start to fail to re-enlarge when the next growth phase commences after they finish their last "big" growth phase. What was once a forrest, becomes sparsely planted trees, on its way to becoming a desert. Its like the leaves falling off a tree in September when they were so full.......................and in late November when they are all gone.

Baldness sucks.

Pete though, gents, is a reminder to all of you who are on treatments and maintaining. Dont get cocky, and get off your stuff..........................if you do you may have a shed after a couple of months that blows your mind. Pete could have kept his hair with finasteride and nizoral alone in all probability, but he is obviously cool with just letting it go. Good for him. I kinda wish I was the same way, but Im not so Im hanging on with treatments.

Someday they'll cure this M-Fker' for all of us. Till then...........................................finas, nizoral, + whatever suits your fancy.
