I am a diffuse thinner.

Using Proscar (1/4) since 15 Sep 2004
Using Dr. Lee minoxidil 5% fast dry since Nov 2004

The only thing I can see is my hair is getting thinner and thinner (crown and front).

Does anyone has good result after 10mths of Proscar, given than I don't see much result for (1st - 10 mths)

I don't see any growing from Min 5% too!

Should I go to Dr.Lee Xandrox15 LIQUID without Propylene Glycol? Anyone got good result using that?

Your advice is appreciated.

Thanks

If you are getting worse with those treatments you should make sure you are taking the minoxidil twice a day. Further things to consider before you "throw in the towel" include ...

1)reading about dutasteride and see if it might be something to consider (you need to read a lot as there are issues regarding long half life, marginal benefit over finasteride, side-effects). This isn't for everybody, but is an option.

2) consider the addition of a topical anti-androgen (spironolactone, fluradil or 5-FU) to your current treatments. I know, dr Lee says azelaic acid in his xanadrox blocks androgens but there arent any in-vivo studies showing that. I personally would "trust" any of the others more than azelaic acid (in xanadrox) due to its lack of studies, and you can buy spironolactone 2% for the same cost of xanadrox from dr lee.

3) try the higher concentrations of minoxidil available (as you suggested)

4) consider the addition of copper peptides (tricomin)... marginal efficacy but easy to use. Some increase in hair count and thickness in phase II trial. Less proven but may help some.

5) Use Nizoral shampoo (it's part of the big 3 for a reason)

6) consider additon of retin-a (dr lee makes a retin-a/minoxidil combo)... less proven but may help some.

7 )take a multivitamin

It is really a personal question as to how much cost/inconvenience/risk you are willing to accept in fighting for hair. All of these have to be taken forever to maintain benefits. If you are looking for one change to make add ketoconazole shampoo. Addition of a higher concentration of minoxidil or switching to xanadrox as you suggested may also get results, but there are many options to consider. Good luck.

I like the way Tricomin makes my scalp feel and how it has taken away my itch.

I like using Nizoral 2x weekly.

I like taking Propecia 1mg daily.

That is MY 'Big 3'...

I like it so far.

Having my itch under control, to me is a big step. It's been about a year now and finally, I have no inflamation/discomfort/itch. It's a good sign to me.
