Hey every one I have been using Rite AID minoxidil 5 %. does any one know if will give the same results as Rogaine.

I am currently loosing much more hair than I used to I started to use minoxidil 1 month ago. I really can see my whole scalp, I really don;t feel any difference. Does any ones knows when and if its normal to shed so much 1 month into the treatment ?

Please let me know I am really worried need ur help!! Thanx !

all minoxidil is created equal

rogaine and other generic liquid minoxidil's have the same active ingredient
5% minoxidil

sheds can occur within the first 2 months
they usually mean your hair follicles have been woken up
and the shed hairs are being replaced by new ones
(hopefully stronger thicker hairs)

i will mention though
that MIN doesnt counter the underlying cause of male pattern baldness
the DHT destroying/weakening your DHT sensitive follicles

finasteride in conjunction with MIN is absolutely more effective than MIN alone

just a suggestion

ride out this shed and asses results in 6 months total time
if no improvements then MIN alone isnt going to cut it for you

Try to combine minoxidil with Nizoral shampoo.
minoxidil is mimox no matter who makes it but check if the ingredients list is close to:

Minoxidil 5%, Alcohol 30% v/v, Propylene Glycol 50% v/v, and Purified Water

Yep! 5% minoxidil is 5% minoxidil when purchased in stores. The mixtures in all generics are equal to Rogaine brand.
