Propecia and girlfriend

Hi all,

Recently bit the bullet and saw a dermatologist for a Propecia prescription.

However, my girlfriend has just started taking the oral contraceptive (with the obvious intentions) and I'm concerned about any effects the Propecia might have on her. I've read all the posts about pregnancy etc, but just want confirmation that there will be no side efects to her.

Any thoughts?

Well, as saddened as I am that you would take the word of a random internet poster over documentation from the FDA....Finasteride will not cause birth defects.

Thanks for the reply Axon.

We've got no plans to breed, so birth defects aren't the issue. I just want to be sure that she's at no (personal) risk from my Propecia usage.
