Here are some very interesting links relating to the implications of DHT (and hence finasteride et al) in auto immune disease. I firmly believe taking propecia gave me auto immune hepatitis a belief that grew stronger when, after 6 months of normal bloods, things shot up again in 2 weeks after taking topical spironolactone (and yes I know they say there are said to be no systemic effects but its a hell of a coincidence...)
