Proscar Shelf Life

Hi,

I just got a renewal from my Doctor for Finasteride (generic proscar!!). It was only $75 for 90 pills, so I figured what the heck. But, I didn't realize that with the dosage I use this will last me almost 2 years (see my sig)! oops!

Will this Finasteride's efficacy be the same in 2 yrs? Or, should I plan in throwing out in about 1yr the remainder and get it again?

p.s. WOW, I just did the math. It will cost me ~$3/month over the 2 years I use this batch!!!

There should be an expiry date on the packet or bottle.

yeah, I'm going to get it from my Doctor again, at that price. It should be good in 2 years.

From what I remember air and light are the enemy to finasteride so keep your uncut pills stowed away in a safe place.

And yeah, the forums are a lot more organized now.
