proscar vs propecia

I know both have the ingredient finasteride which is used for male pattern baldness and that proscar is the way to go to get more for your money but propecia was specifically designed for male pattern baldness and proscar was not. Are there anyother ingredients in proscar that might effect you in the long run for taking it for a long period of time. Does the propecia have the identical ingredients besides from the finasteride in proscar......

As far as I am aware there is no difference between the 2 tablets except the amount of finasteride in each Proscar = 5mg of finasteride, Propecia = 1mg of finasteride.
