Does drinking Protein shakes like those whey isolate or big muscle powder drinks have any effect on hair?

If hair is made of protein shouldn't it help the hair grow thick? but some people say its not good for hair

Used protein shakes for the last 3-4 years. Been on finasteride the whole time. My hair has improved. I don't think it's a big deal.

Fruity-Tootie Milkshake for Healthy Hair:

1 cup fat-free yogurt
2 cups skim milk
1 small banana
2 tsp brewer’s yeast
1 tsp wheat germ
1 medium papaya or mango, sliced
½ tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tsp molasses

Process in blender for 3 minutes. Drink slowly.

The papaya or mango contains vitamin A, which combats dandruff and adds shine. The bananas, brewer’s yeast, yogurt, and molasses help the hair maintain a rich color, and the proper pH-balance. The wheat germ promotes growth, so it will help your hair grow faster, and the calcium in the milk strengthens the hair!

No effect.

Same goes for weightlifting.

Been doing heavy weights for the last 3 months - hair is still the same.

It's the people who "cycle" on anabolics that tend to see their hair dissipate sooner than mother nature intended. This only applied to those who have male pattern baldness gene not all who juice.
