Question about getting proscar

I had a doctor visit about 20 min ago, and I was told that I could have a propecia script, but not a proscar one. That isn't going to work for me, I need the cheaper version which I can cut.

I'm hoping I can change the doctors mind, but I'm not really sure where to begin? Does anyone have a suggestion? Is there any literature that I could forward to her?
