Question regarding applying minoxidil 2x per day

Here is my schedule..

I go into work at 2 in the afternoon. I apply LEEs 5% minoxidil before work. I get off at 10:00, home roughly at 10:30..

I want to begin applying it twice per day. Do I need to wash my hair, before applying it at night? I don't really want to take a shower because I will be taking one shortly later the next day. Is it ok just to reapply minoxidil to the hair? Or should I rinse?

There's no need to re-shower before applying minoxidil. I only ever take 1 shower a day (like most) and minoxidil results have been swell.
