Sorry to tell you this, but the increased hair fall is probably due to the fact that you’re receding at the corners and it’s just to the point now where the loss of density becomes noticable. The thing about Telogen Effluvium is that it affects the entire head and resembles diffuse thinning. What you have here is targeted right up front at exactly the location male pattern baldness almost always strikes first. I have yet to see a case of Telogen Effluvium where the loss resulted in an appearance akin to male pattern baldness, (though that doesn’t mean it isn’t theoretically possible), but they’re all dead ringers for DUPA.
How much this matters depends a lot on how old you are. If you’re in your late 20s/early 30s, it’s completely normal and if that’s what you have at that age you probably have little to worry about. If you’re teens/early 20’s, however, it might be. In either case, as long as the recession doesn’t delve deeper and/or your crown starts thinning, it’s not something to worry about. To that end, by taking identical pictures every three months or so to more easily spot changes. If you need answers now or things are rapidly progressing, get an appointment with a dermatologist.
