The mainstay of my current regimen for the past few years has been dutasteride + Genhair Flutamide.
But it's time for a change.
I'm considering dropping the Flutamide as I'm really not comfortable with it anymore.
My new idea is to continue taking dutasteride while using both Fluridil and Dr. Lee's 5 percent spironolactone cream. Although I've used both Fluridil and spironolactone cream before, I've never used them as part of the same regimen.
I'm not quite ready to take RU yet; instead, I'm looking for the next best thing in terms of fighting DHT and scalp testosterone.
I haven't used Dr. Lee's spironolactone cream in several years, but I remember it having a cool, soothing sensation on the scalp. And that's another attraction of this proposed regimen: Fluridil, with its alcohol content, can sometimes irritate and dry out the scalp. So I'm thinking these two topicals just might work nicely with one another while providing all-day topical anti-androgen coverage (Fluridil at one end of the day, spironolactone at the other).
What do you guys think of this regimen idea? I know that spironolactone is a relatively weak anti-androgen; however, perhaps it doesn't have to be super-strong if it's being used in a regimen employing both Dutasteride and Fluridil.
Thanks for any feedback.
