Relationship between dose and body weight/size ?

Hey Guys,

Took my first dose of finasteride today. Now I'm wondering at what dose I should continue the treatment. Does the weight or size of a person influence the dose he/she should take?

I'm asking myself the question, because, on the one hand, my hair loss is rather mild I’d say. It’s definitely not aggressive. Started noticing my androgenic alopecia when I was 19, consulted a dermatologist for the first time when I was 21. Now I’m 25 and my hair is still in such a condition where I’d be more than glad if I could just keep it that way.

Also, I heard that a dose of 0.5 is about (~80%) as affective as the standard 1mg/per day dose.

On the other hand, I’m a rather athletic, tall guy (190cm) weighing a bit more than about 90kg.

I know that eventually, I’ll have to find out myself. Still I was wondering what you guys would say. Is a dose of 0.5mg worth considering if you’re not suffering from aggressive hair loss, or would you say that it is too little for a figure such as mine?

90kg is a fairly average weight. Since your hair loss is just beginning maybe you can try .5 mg for a year and see if the results are acceptable or not
