Revivogen used to be talked about a lot on here and it's still recommended on this site as a safe, natural treatment. Why is that? Does it actually work? I'd really appreciate some feedback. The reviews on Amazon are mixed but generally good, with users reporting long term maintenance. It's got GLA and other fatty acids that have been shown to inhibit 5 alpha reductase, plus beta sitosterol, zinc and caffeine. Yet on the forums most people say it's a total snake oil. I've got no doubt that it's safe, but I've used it briefly in the past and it's a disgusting, smelly, oily liquid. Still, if it worked I could put up with the downsides. Can anyone share their experience with this product? Thanks guys.

I used to use it many years ago and I think it may have helped some. Worth a try if you have the money to invest and possibly lose. It's a gamble like any treatment.

My guess is it's not going to be a game changer, but could help with scalp itch if you are prone to that. Keep in mind to massage any therapeutic shampoos into your scalp and let it sit on there for 5-10min.

Appreciate the responses guys. If nobody round here is using it anymore then I guess that speaks for itself. I tried searching reddit for user experiences and it seems to be almost unheard of over there. Don't think I'll bother - can't afford to waste time and lose any more ground.

If you’re already on keto and min then it probably won’t make THAT much of a difference. But, having a 5AR inhibitor in your regimen could make a difference, since you are not on finasteride. For someone who is already on finasteride it would be a waste of time. So maybe it could help. Just don’t expect it to work miracles. It would be cheaper and perhaps more effective to take saw palmetto and see if that makes a difference.
