It seems they use the big 3 but charge a load for it.

And they have some 'strand by strand' thing that seems like fancy wording for a wig. The Guardian mentions they've been in trouble with the advertising standards agency.

So I'm sure they can improve hair in some cases, it's the sales techniques and general underhanded dishonesty of the whole thing that people have a problem with.

Don't get me started on Advance Hair Studio!

The balding celebrities website summed it up well,

"The papers claim he is paying £6000 for this treatment, which is surprising given that a years supply of the drugs can be purchased on the internet for less than £100 and a laser comb, which is of dubious effectiveness anyway, can be bought for a similar price."

I really would not be surprised if someone at AHS stitched giggsy up and tipped off 'The Sun' in order to capitalise on the free publicity, and they charged him double the price, as normally they charge £3k.
