Hi

Do you guys think it would be possible to reverse engineer Samumed's topical once they begin their phase 3 trial, such that we can all benefit from the treatment sooner rather than later. Or, do you guys envision it will be made in Japan or elsewhere upon completion of phase II?

Any idea on if it will reverse hair graying? Thank you

I posted some time ago three formulas that Samumed has been using. Of course we don't know which of the three is the actual compound they use but if you really wanted you could just get a lab to make it (once known which) and then go to town (assuming the lab is credible and you got the money for it).

Here's what I posted nearly two years ago:

This is a fairly new addition to the biotech teams trying to tackle hair loss. Interestingly one of the researchers is Dr. Sarah Millar, who's also part of the Follica team with Dr. George Cotsarelis. Last year UK Boy from BTT posted a thread about them carrying out a clinical trial in Australia/New Zealand.

It's a topical solution known as SM04554, it is a small molecule and works by activating the WNT pathway.

They had a trial that started back in 2013:
https://www.anzctr.org.au/Trial/Registration/TrialReview.aspx?id=364645

In 2014 they started another trial, this time Phase II:
https://www.clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02275351

In this trial, they're using concentrations of 0.15% and 0.25%.

And I found this with lots of mentions about hair growth including the formula:

Last year swooping made this comment:
I suppose it is either compound 1 , 2 or 3. But can't know for sure.. Compound 2 seems the most strongest from their essay.

Administration and Pharmaceutical Compositions

[0317] Some embodiments include pharmaceutical compositions comprising: (a) a safe and therapeutically effective amount of a compound according to Formulas I, II or III, or its corresponding enantiomer, diastereoisomer or tautomer, or pharmaceutically acceptable salt; and (b) a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

Interestingly, with the patent I found above it looks like #1.
