It has small molecular weight - 129.167 Dalton, so it will penetrate the skin.
And could be dissolved in water.

All of the above and exercise to get weight to ideal and it's like a miracle drug to many diabetics.

I've used metformin 2000mg for half a year now for hairloss (I dont have diabetes). It helps with the acne but not for hairloss. Haven't tried topical but I doubt it would work.
