Serenoa repens=Saw palmetto?

Just a short answer to this short question, and this thread may as well go into oblivion.

is 'serenoa repens extract' the same as 'saw palmetto' extract?

because I've encountered 2 'supposed' names for 'saw palmetto': 'serenoa repENS' and 'serenoa repeNTIS'. - small name difference, but may be a huge diff. for your hair.

which one is the 'good' saw palmetto name?

Sereona repens is a type of palm tree from which saw palmetto is extracted (from the berries the tree produces). This is the most commonly used source of saw palmetto...

Not a PROVEN treatment for male pattern baldness though... :rockon:

You mean, Serenoa repens IS saw palmetto. It's the latin name for it. If you get it from anything else, i'd question it's legitimacy.
