shaving my head before wearing

hello everyone,
Im at my early 20's and started losing 2 years ago.
I have a receding hair line, level 2 in Norwood scale, and thining hair in the crown area.
I'm about to purchase hair system and so I have a problem with my existing hair-

should I shave my head from the crown to the front, and put the front hair system on,
or I can stay with my thining hair and put the hair system?

i myself is in same situation. I tried using clip on and it was a dead give away. Shaving is only option.
